Finding where Lorella Springs is...
The turn off from the Savannah Way to Lorella Springs Station is at GPS co-ordinates 15 Degrees 54' 57 South, 135 Degrees 31' 46 East.
If coming from the South, either from Borroloola or Cape Crawford turn right off the Savannah Way ( Limmen National Park Road - Roper Bar Road). This is the road heading Northwards to Roper Bar and Mataranka then on to Katherine and Darwin.
Lorella Springs Thermal Spring, Caravan Park, Camping area and Bar are 29 kilometres in along this gravel road turnoff. If you miss it - you will regret it.
If coming from Eastern Australia, along the Savannah Way, after passing Borroloola, you can either Head Northwards at Ryans Bend Road (Savannah Way Adventure Alternative), or continue on to Cape Crawford, then turn Northwards off the Bitumen. This turnoff is about 1 km past Cape Crawford along the road to Highway Inn and Daly Waters then on to Stuart Highway to Darwin.
Choosing the Savannah Way is the adventurous way to Darwin, where you will find the true Australian Outback and enjoy Lorella Springs .... Australia's Final Frontier.
